What the estimate covers

Thickness drives both cost and weight

Material consumption is linear in thickness, and so is the mass the levelling layer adds to the deck. One extra millimetre over a large accommodation area is a real number in both columns, which is why the average thickness matters more than the nominal one.

Waste is an allowance, not a measurement

Mixing losses, part containers and edge work all sit inside the percentage you type. Yards working over a heavily distorted deck usually carry more than a yard working over a fair one.

The primer and the wearing surface are not included

This estimate covers the levelling layer only. Primer, any damping coating below it and the wearing surface above are separate line items, and each has its own consumption figure.
