The mass is given as a band, not a single number, because our own documents publish two different density figures for this product and neither one has been superseded by the other.

How the numbers are produced

One square metre at one millimetre is one litre, so the neat volume is area × thickness × layers. The ordering allowance is added to the purchase volume only. Mass is volume × density, and the density band is taken from the two figures our documents publish: no more than 1,100 kg/m³ on the DP-SDI product data sheet, and no more than 1,300 kg/m³ in the product annex of CCS Certificate of Works Approval SH25PWA00041. Added weight per square metre uses the neat film, because the allowance does not go on the ship.

What this tool does not do

It does not choose a build-up, it does not account for deck camber, cut-outs or seat foundations, and it is not a quotation. A thickness above 2.0 mm per layer is flagged because 2.0 mm is the maximum dry film thickness recorded on DNV EC type-examination certificate MEDB00005WN Rev. 1.
